Children's Ministry

Children's Church

Children ages 4 years through 5th grade enjoy a wonderful junior church service every Sunday during the 11:00 worship service time. The kids enjoy puppets, songs, and a Bible lesson.


Juniors

For our 3rd through 6th graders we have activities throughout the year that culminates with camp at the Wilds in the Summer.


The Gospel Project

The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study and meets Sunday evenings at 6:00pm during the normal school calendar year for ages two through high school age. For more information, contact the church office.


Summer Bible Time

During the summer months we have Summer Time Bible Time for ages 4 years through Teens. The kids have bible study time, craft time, game time and snacks and meet Sundays at 6:00pm.

Teens

The Focus of our Teen Ministry 

is found in Colossians 1:10; “That ye might walk worthy of the lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Our desire is to assist our students in their personal walk, work and wisdom during this time of their life. We strive to help our kids grow to become godly teenagers, our teenagers to become godly college students and our college students to become godly adults. Growing in the Lord-that is what our Student Life ministry is all about.


Sunday School Class

Our Sunday school class centers around our wonderful Lord, Jesus Christ. The focus of our class is to learn who our Lord is and all that was accomplished according to the Scriptures. Heroes of the faith, object lessons and the ministry of Christ are just a sample of what is taught every Sunday! 


Wednesday Night Service

The focus of our Wednesday night service is our Christian Life Series. Topics, concerns and issues that teenagers face are looked at from a Biblical perspective to see what Christ says about them. Our desire for this teaching and preaching time is to give them Bible answers to the questions and issues the teens are facing.

 

Activities

Throughout the year, our teens enjoy activities such as bowling, snow tubing, paintball, volleyball, and many others. The highlights of our year include summer camp as well as our teen missions trip when our schedule allows!

Music Ministry

God has truly blessed our church with a wonderful group of people who serve the Lord each week in the music ministry. The whole goal of the music ministry here at Emmanuel is to create an atmosphere of pleasing worship to Christ. All of our music is Christ honoring, uplifting and encouraging. Psalm 105:2 is the verse we gear our music ministry towards. Our Choir Director would love to welcome you into the music ministry. Adult Life

Rooted - Young Adult Fellowship

High School graduates through early 20’s

Peer pressure is strong. Young people have challenges and struggles that can only be answered from God’s Word. You need direction and wisdom as well as friends that help and strengthen you along the way. You need influences that encourage purity rather than robbing it. This class will discuss everyday life situations and teach you to talk to and approach people about salvation.

Teacher - Mike Zimmerman

Our purpose is to study Biblical Precepts through an interactive exchange. Questions and comments are encouraged during the class time. We tackle the complex and "tough" questions and teachings and our goal is to apply the Biblical teaching to CONTEMPORARY problems and events in our daily lives in the world. 1 Peter 3:15

The world is in great need of godly men. Single, married, young or old, you will find strength and encouragement in this class. It will teach Bible principles in your walk to be a godly leader.

Teacher - Mark Hinson

Beginning in Genesis and continuing through Revelations, this class delves into the essence of the bible. These devoted Christians seek to discover the deeper meanings of the Word of God and how our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ intended for His teachings to apply to our daily lives. Our gathering of believers exemplifies the Lord's command to love one another.


Prayer Warriors

Teachers - Susie Shook and Sue Fleming

You will be encouraged spiritually, meet new friends, enjoyable activities and receive loving care as you continue to grow in your faith. The Prayer Warriors enjoy meeting once a month for breakfast to plan and minister to the needs of the church family along with fun themes to continue their walk with the Lord. This group of ladies provides a wonderful place to serve and encourage younger Christian women and furnish a source of spiritual strengthening.

Teacher - David Clark

Building a strong marriage doesn’t happen by accident or default. Even as a well-built house must first have carefully designed plans, a strong marriage can only be the product of the blueprint of the Bible, the foundation of Jesus Christ, and the daily guiding hand of God’s Holy Spirit. This class will teach the proven Bible principles for making your marriage a life-long and joyful relationship.


Seasoned Saints

Adult Men and Women

Teacher - Michael Younce

This class is for the new believer learning the most important truths they can know from God's word. The new Christian will begin to learn the basics of the faith and lifestyle. One of the most important things you can do with a new believer is read the Bible with them–teaching them how to read, understand, respond to, rejoice in and apply God’s Word.

Senior Adults

The senior adult ministry at Emmanuel is designed to give those who have been faithful for so many years an opportunity to get together and fellowship. The Bible says to give honor to whom honor is due. We seek to honor those who have paved the way for the next generation and served their Lord faithfully. We get together every Wednesday morning for a Bible study, and try to plan an activity at least every quarter. Our Senior Adults are also honored at a banquet at the end of the year. Ladies' Ministry

Purpose Statement:

The Women’s Ministries at Emmanuel Baptist Church serves to encourage women to have a deeper relationship with God and with other ladies. Through monthly fellowships and activities, women are encouraged to draw closer to Christ and to encourage and support one another.


Ladies Bible Study

We have a monthly bible study lead by our Pastor's wife. We enjoy a time of fellowship with a meal before we start our lesson.

 

Prayer Groups

The ladies prayer group meets each Sunday evening at 5:30 pm prior to the evening service. 

James 5:16, “…and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Missions

Emmanuel Baptist Church has been blessed by God to be able to partner with and support over 50 missionaries, mission boards and various other ministries in spreading the wonderful truths from God’s Word. God is accomplishing great things and people all over the world are putting their faith and trust in Christ. Community Ministries

Community Awareness & Response to Educators

This ministry helps a student succeed to be the best they can be. When an educator is aware of a need a student may have, school supplies, clothes or other needs, they contact us to take care of this need.


Helping Others by Providing Encouragement

This growing ministry benefits those that are in need of clothing items, prayer and encouragement. We have all sizes from newborn to adult. The operating hours are by appointment by contacting the church office.


New Move-In Ministry

Every month we receive a list of the folks that have recently moved to our area. We welcome them to the community by sending a card and invite them to visit our church while sharing the gospel.
